It's been awhile since I've posted... While it seems like little has happened in the time since I've been gone, I look at the profile pic and I know this 0cannot possibly be true. I lost my password and was unable to get into the site, and today, just happened across the site again, and instantly gained access... Funny how things happen...
I cannot remember the year of the pic, but I am assuming with the background, it must have been around 8 years ago... Shortly after back surgery, which change the whole direction of my life.
I decided to return to school and there I earned a BA in Social Work... Nothing will change your life like returning to school at 46 years old. It seemed an overwhelming task; yet I am so grateful I took that first step.
Chronic pain has been my consistent foe. no two days are exactly alike, and I never know when the worst of the pain will strike. Often sleepless nights followed by days that never seem to end, then a day respite, and the cycle continues... often to the point of questioning how long must I endure? The recent death of the doctor who was working with pain management techniques has thrown a different twist into living with pain.
So many thoughts I'd like to just keep rambling, but this is simply the first of what may be many more writings to come...
